El Faique (100% BVN) is an underground copper mining project located in the District of Tambogrande, Province of Piura, Region of Piura.
Geology: This is a volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposit hosted in the Mesozoic Basin of Lancones. Massive sulfide mineralization lies beneath 400 m of Quaternary sand and gravel, and consists of a massive pyrite core with a peripheral chalcopyrite-sphalerite zone and a basal body of chalcopyrite with gold credits.
